Parking all the parts you picked.
Well fuck, if today wasn't hot. Amid the tail end of a shitty heatwave; today was a special day for 240sx enthusiasts in Southern California. The drive to Anaheim, from anywhere in Socal, isn't too painful. Now parking your car is a totally different story. Lines rivaled those 5 miles away at Disneyland, but I digress.
The turnout was something else. I have not seen the community this alive and thriving in YEARS. Admit it dudes, we had somewhat of a dark ages thing going on for a while. Steely wheels.. cheap knock off parts and aero.. etc. I had a total hard-on at the quality of the builds that were coming through.
Lots of venders and IG famous builds came out to support as well. For how crammed and hectic this could have been the organizers managed the space they had with ease. S-chassis for as far as the eye can see. It was like we were in another world....20 years ago.
There are a million ways to build one of these things. Some of them more tasteful than others. Taste is totally subjective, yes, but there are a few things that people can universally agree on. I for one was very pleased at the variety of builds. I'm a bit biased, so I particularly cater to the drift cars. Mad respect for the dudes that can make a cool car and have the courage to beat it on the track. There wasn't a single yellow car there... maybe I should have brought my car out to fill the void.
Thank you!!!! Thank you to the organizers. Thank you to the community. Thank you to the vendors. It can't be said that this was the best meet in Socal.. but it was one of the best i've been to. It had all the ingredients. Being in its infancy still this meet has plenty of space to grow and I think it's only starting to stretch it's legs. Can't wait to see what next year has in store.
See you guys at the track. PEACE
